Day 1- Bali with Darlings + Hun

And finally the day came. After 3 months of planning, KEYS annual trip eventually commence on 16th of June, 2009. This time it is over the sea to a heavenly beach named BALI. (Yes, passport was definitely needed unlike last year’s trip to Langkawi + Penang) However, the trip was not as perfect as we had planned it. Mainly because S, Shany, was caught up with her audit work in E&Y that she could not take 3 weekdays off (for an auditor, off days are soooo over-rated). Instead, she was almost immediately & efficiently replaced by Terence Lo, who is also the credit card holder for our hotel, Matahari Bungalow Hotel. *Rich kid’s credit card is so much better*

Hence, our trip was officially attended by.... *drums beating as background*......

Jean, Ivy, Terence (Tao) and Ivise (myself)!!

He starts being our ‘kuli’ since Nilai.

Our trip begins in Nilai, when we took a cab over to Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) which costs us RM35. Air Asia flight QZ 8391 to Denpasar was delayed from 7.15 a.m. to 11.40 a.m., yet still costing us each RM 116 for both ways! Except Tao coz he booked late; his is RM 420. Tak guna.. Delay our flight and yet did not compensate us. In fact, our flight from Bali to KL, AK 365 was ALSO delayed 30 minutes to 7.40 p.m! Chis....

Anyway, we reached LCCT as 10 a.m and checked-in at lane R11, subsequently had our healthy breakfast in McD. The hash browns were delicious and KEY even ordered extras! Trying to gain some weight before our long walks in Bali...

As usual, we board QZ 8391 in a rush. This is kinda weird coz we actually planned some extra time for shopping in duty-free shops. Yet, same like last year, we were running to the boarding gate as the announcement for last call was heard.

And after approximately 3 hours later we finally arrived at Denpasar, Bali, filling up loads of health form for fear of the deadly Swine Flu.

Due to this, the lines at custom were dragon-ly long. Good part is; it does gives us time to cam-whore on Bali grounds.

(^-^)

Soon after the treacherous 40 minutes in Denpasar Airport, we took a cab to our hotel on Jalan Legian, Kuta, heart of the most happening area in Bali. The cab ride costs us RP 55,000! Paying the sum seems to give more satisfaction.. Ahhh~~~~ Thousands have a way in making us feel richer than usual but in fact its actually RM20... (=.=”)

Our hotel was 3-star rated with rather big-sized room and nothing-to-brag-about toilet.

Lights were dim and furniture was old. BUT it is rather cheap, USD 34 a night, queen size bed AND breakfast provided. Also, the pool has a bar and is sufficiently wide although I did not get the chance to jump in. Most importantly, the location of the hotel is outrageously strategic! It is near to restaurants, bars, clubs, shortcut to the beach, shops and half-naked HOT HUNKS!!! Hehe.

Within minutes, we were all up and refreshed to get up and explore the beautiful area. I, myself had been there only one month ago, so was pretty familiar with the roads. Naturally, was then elected as the tour guide.. Sigh..Please bear in mind that I was with my family the other time so did not spend much time walking around at the streets. Our first priority once we were on the streets on the first time was to look for FOOD! And we chose the one nearest to us, an old restaurant with wooden furniture.

The variety of food was ok and the four of us ordered local Indonesian food, which came out so-so. *Looks good but its worst in the whole trip..*

30 minutes later, we start walking from our hotel, nearby Jalan Poppies 2, all the way to Jalan Bakungsa where the Matahari Shopping Mall located and all the branded stuff are.. eg: Quiksilver, Billabong, Roxy, Oakley, Levis’, etc. If you had no idea how far that is, go Google it ( http://maps.google.com/ ). For all I know, it is bloody REALLY FAR. No kidding here.. We walked at least 10 km a day!! LOL! Not only that, after some quick stops, we walked back onto Jalan Pantai only to head toward Jalan Pantai Kuta which is the road facing the beach.

Hard Rock located here..

“And in the end, the love we take is equal to the love we make”..Beatles

It doesn’t even stop there. We continued walking (n keep on walking......) , enjoying the area (mostly looking at the surfers..^_^) and soon took a turn at Jalan Poppies 2 to go back to our hotel.

(PS: Jalan Poppies 2 is the place to ‘cuci mata’ as there were hot surfers there all over!!! 6 packs and hard biceps!! Tanned bodies + blondes! Definitely NOT for the faint hearts... @-@)

Sadly... the mannequin’s dick is missing. Where is Tao’s?

Spell-bounded by Quiksilver....

Feeling exhausted did not stop us from venturing around. We took a quick bath at the hotel, changed to clean clothes and *POOF* back on the streets to hunt for food. This time, we chose a nicely decorated bar called the Sky Garden for dinner. I know it sounds idiotic to eat Western cuisine in Bali, but we ate anyway.. Hehehe. But hey! The food was awesome! Totally unimaginable!!

Lasagne, seafood chowder, Chef’s salad and mix grill.. *mouth-watering*

So good in fact that we could not stop praising it all the way.

Anyhow, after dinner, we went over to club called EGC. The main reason we went to the club was because we were escorted from the opposite road all the way inside. Being treated like royalties, how could we resist? Once in, we ordered 2 cocktails, Red Lagoon + Melon Martini. But when it came, there were 4 glasses! It seems it was happy hour and all drinks will come with a free one. Gosh! How not to love Bali?! Muackz!

We were done clubbing + dancing at 2 am. Dats all for Day 1~~

One day of KEYS

Yippee Yippee Yay Yay!

Today was awesome. KEYS finally had a full gathering, alone, after what seems like a million years. Some might say that is a bullshit coz we are always seen together. But most of the time, we were accompanied by someone. Not that I do not welcome the outside companions, but sometimes girls just need to be alone to update each other bout their life.

Anyway, the four of us went for some.. window shopping in The Curve.

(OMG! I can’t believe I admit that. I hate window shopping. Somehow, seeing things from one shop to another is just not my cup of tea. If you want something, just get it. Why walk around like looking for things you might need?) Oops.. Getting out of topic. So, as I was saying, we enjoyed a long lunch chit chatting in Secret Recipe. If I am not wrong, the whole cafe can actually hear our voices. Yup. As usual, we were being pretty loud / attention-seeking bitches like some people used to call us. Then again, as long as we are having fun with ourselves, why care those repulsive comments? Btw, we didn’t take any photos this time. So NOT us..

Now, I don’t feel like being all naggy braggy. But I really do miss those girls. Jean had been by my side for ages; half my life in fact! And although I only met Shany and Ivy since 2004/5, they had always been there during my ups and down. How on earth am I gonna adapt to Australia!! Geez..

Well then, guess I can find it out soon enough. Gotta crash now. Need to wake up early tomorrow (like 4 am!!) to send off my sista + Ashton to the airport. Being their chauffeur will be appreciated with presents from Hong Kong! Hahahaha!!

Unplanned dinner

2nd blog in a day. Hmm.. Pretty efficient if you ask me. Well, the reason I blog is because Ivy CHONG (not my biological sister), had been asking me when am I gonna blog about our dinner last night. So, here goes~

Yesterday was rather boring. I was lying around like a lazy cat, sprawling on the bed and counting the seconds until Zi Yuan called me out for dinner. He is sweet enough to come pick me up at my home in Puchong. Now, if you do not know, Zi Yuan lives in Damansara area. To come over to Puchong, he needs to pass by a bloody unnecessary toll. That is why, I say he’s sweet. But of course, he did not come alone. In fact, he was accompanied by my dear darling Ivy (member of KEYS). They are pretty close these days to the extent that during the entire dinner, they were like living in their own world. Perhaps, both of them meets considerably often and thus communicate in a more intimate way. Don’t get the wrong idea. Intimate means they do not need to elaborate much but still both parties understands the other. Whether or not there are unseen bond between them, I have no idea.

After dinner, we went for some fruit juices. Each one of us ordered a mixture of fruits which came out to be....alright? Frankly speaking, I am minimally comfortable with my drinks. Meaning, I will only drink it ONCE. You guys can read what kind of mixtures it is in Ivy’s blog. Trust me; the mixture is weird initially.

PS: Later that night, I had a stomach ache. No idea if it was the juices or the prawn (I’m allergic to prawn. Pandai-pandai pula I ate 2 big prawns during dinner. LOL!)

Wishing time would go faster and slower simultaneously
