Bad traffic

I must confess.. I LOVE THE PUBLIC TRANSPORT! I’ve just reached home after an hour of slow moving traffic to Preston, hindered by hundreds of traffic lights and trams. What a total waste of time! I reckon I would reach faster if I took the rail or even cycle as the roads to the northern suburbs during the weekend are insane. All of them!

Anyway, while being stuck in the jam, I thought of a cheeky idea (and only a true Malaysian would think of this). I decided to use those small roads to reach Preston and get that yummy loaf of white bread from Bread Top, assuming that Victoria’s road system are all in blocks and hence would make it easy for me to just slid through the bad traffic. Oh, how wrong am I… Not only did I fail miserably to ‘slid through the traffic’, I also hit a couple of dead ends and got lost in the labyrinth of god-knows-where. In the end, I gave up and drove home, which was just 10 minutes away.

Moral of the story is; do not go to any Northern suburbs by car on a Saturday! L

Guest house

So before my already bad writing skills goes down the drain, I figured I ought to write a new blog to refresh myself on some decent writing. The most important update would be Terence and I moving into our new place at Coburg! *gasp* No, we didn’t buy this place.. Ptf! As if we could afford the repayment at the moment. It has been around 2 months now and every weekend since we moved in had been a busy one. You might have noticed that I did not dedicate a special post for my new abode but that’s because I didn’t have the time to take a good picture of it! The fact that it hasn’t been sunny and bright also played a role in my lack of enthusiasm. Being a Malaysian, my mood is very dependent on the sun.

The first weekend after we moved in was the weekend I went back to Malaysia for PYA’s wedding. Oh, it was as hectic as expected but such a lovely, lovely wedding. Everyone was gorgeous especially the bride and undoubtedly, people had an immense fun – messing the groom and all. =)

The weekend after that was jam packed with clean ups and unpacking all the stuff along with setting up the necessary areas because Aunt Shally and family were coming to visit. It was fun having them here and catching up on life. I reckoned this is probably the first time I’ve chat with my Aunt and Uncle as an adult! Naturally, we (niece & nephews) are always seen as kids; so to have that transition and conversed like an adult to an adult was certainly a nice one.

Right after my aunt and uncle was Truc, Terence brother-in-law. Truc’s a new dad and he was missing Steph and Ysabelle terribly. It’s hard for new dad/mom to stay away from their baby. Hehhe! Was so adorable to see him talking about Ysabelle and how affectionate they are.

The most recent guests visit was Darling Ivy, Shan & Sau Jong! They were here for about 2 weeks although for a bit of time, they went to Sydney. Oh how amazing to have them over! It’s almost like Nilai College time all over again, minus Jean and plus Sau Jong. It made us long for more old friends to make that big step and migrate over to Melbourne. Ivy was hilarious! She don’t really recall the places’ name initially but had improved a lot later on. Shan totally impressed me on how much research she did on Melbourne prior to coming over. Totally a savvy traveller and I can’t wait to travel with her next time! She can do all the planning and guiding. Sau Jong was on bacon and boobie frenzy! Hahhahaha! Its too bad we didn’t get to visit one of the more exotic club else he would have hit all his objectives for this visit!
~Still going strong! Yeng's not forgotten too~

I was telling Terence that at the rate our guests are coming, we ought to be opening a B&B place. Bath and Bed! Hahahaha! No way I’m going to cook. Perhaps I should go into tourism too?

End of Financial Year update

It’s JULY!!!!! This may sound very boring, but gosh…. how did July came so fast? It felt like only last week when I celebrated CNY back home. So many things had happened and so many had changed since then. Me getting a job for example. It wasn’t a job that I was expecting but I’m loving every second of it nonetheless. Now, I don’t want to brag but how cool is my boss?! I must be super lucky to have her as my direct supervisor for she is ever generous with her knowledge, patient with my drawbacks and extremely warm and friendly. Without a doubt, I am willing to work overtime for her. Not that she ever asked me to. The rest of the team are great too especially with Shelley there. They create such a motivating environment to work!!

Apart from that, after 3 years living with Tika, Terence and I have finally decided to move in together. It has been nothing but wonderful memories to have such an awesome homie, one who cook and take care of you when you’re sick and has abundance of energy. Honestly, having Tika beside me for these 3 years had made my time here interesting and never a dull one. Although it is with a heavy heart, it’s also time to move on and take the next step with my lovely partner. Some might say it’s a bit late but there’s no rush for such a thing and I’m happy at the pace we are going. This might be out of context but I’ve reached a point when I realised that if a friend disagree with the choices I made then I do not need to entertain his constant bickering. If he is unable to respect me or my partner then I would have to choose the obvious one. After all, when the majority says aye and one says nay, why bother with that one fella?

Anyway, I’m also going back for PYA’s WEDDING on the 28 of July!!! Wooohooo!! It’s gonna be a hectic one with all the catching up and preparation to do considering I’m meeting all my family members! All 38 of them! And Jean will also be in Malaysia on the same weekend! What a coincidence! (I’m so excited to the extent that I need to prove it by excessively using the exclamation mark for each sentence) On top of that, I’ve already made up my schedule for that weekend by the hour. The planning required high precision and dedication to be executed so I’ll have to fully optimise those 72 hours and sacrifice my sleeping time. J

24th Bday celebration

It was my Birthday! Almost a quarter of a hundred and I love each part of it. And after the amazing celebration that my friends threw for me, I finally found my groove to write again. It had been a not-so-good month with all the job applications and so on. But honestly, despite being jobless I ended my days with zero level of energy. Can you just imagine how stressful and energy-draining it is to apply for jobs and the anxiety of not knowing your future? Anyway, those stuffs aside, my birthday celebrations was just fab-bu-lous!

It started with Su Wei sending me an adorable puzzle-card. It was so sweet that I’m sure I would get diabetic reading it so many times. Seng Keat also came to Melbourne for a night stop and we went for Korean BBQ which costed him a hefty amount. Thanks SK! Also, thanks to my beloved granny and parents for the generous ang pow! The very same day, Terence bought me the board game which I had been looking for ever since I came back from Msia! Thanks Honey! Revenge at House of the Hill!! Hohohoo!! Anyone, please do come and play with me. I assure you it is a very interesting game, unlike Monopoly.

The next day was my birthday eve and Terence planned a date for us. Went for Mirror Mirror starring Julia Roberts and gosh, may I just add that the ending was epic!! Following on was dinner at Chinatown serving my favourite quail. Yummy! I cannot believe such a tiny bird can taste so good. If it weren’t that delicious I might actually felt guilty eating them. Right after dinner we went to one of my favourite bar in Melbourne where they served drinks in syringe and noodle boxes! I know right? How cool is that?! Now, the highlight of the night is when Terence insisted I skull my drinks to head to another mysterious bar. I deliberately asked him if we were meeting anyone and my dear innocent boyfriend put up his by-far-the-most poker face, and said; “NOOoooOOO!!!! Why would you think that?”

So I did as I was told and finished my noodle-box vodka and green tea in a staggering 10 minutes, walked wobbly to Russel St while complaining that it is just ridiculous that he let me ordered that drink, fully aware that we need to leave soon. As we reached the ‘mysterious’ bar, I realised it was Madam Brussels (the bar that Tika and I went to and fall in love with) and I asked him again, if we are meeting anyone. Naturally, the answer was the same. I took the lift up and went to the balcony where I saw all of them!!! I’m sure I caught them at a wrong time coz there were no ‘SURPRISE!!!’ although I AM rather taken aback. Oooo… How sweet are my friends! Everyone was there!!! A surprise Bday party for me! Thanks Tika! (it has to be her coz she loves surprises) And all that came; Billy, Kristy, Nelson, Louise, Sid, Molly, Erica, Vicky, Akil, Tash, David, Lachy and Mark. Oh, I love the presents too! Muackz muackz!

My actual Birth Day was a little quiet which is good cause I really couldn’t summon much more energy. We even celebrated the Earth Hour! Environmental awareness people! Hehehe. So all in all, my Bday celebration was over the top. I hope my wishes come true too! =)

In memory of my necklace and some awesome news

I lost my necklace..  two weeks ago. It’s not just ANY necklace, it’s THE necklace that my beloved parents gave me on my 21st Birthday! It’s a symbol of their love to me. An asset. My protection against evil stuff. And most importantly, its bloody hell expensive!!! I know it is really bad to start blogging with a bad news and I don’t wanna spoil people’s mood and all… even so, I had to grieve for it! So bear with me… I lost it when I went for the medical check-up the other day and carelessly stuff it in my jean’s pocket. FRONT left pocket! I was utterly confident that it will not slip out.. OBVIOUSLY, I was wrong. Sigh…. So, if anyone of you might somehow stumble on a silver chain with a key pendant in the middle of Swanston St., please call me ASAP.

On a lighter note, I do have a HUGE news to break. I got my Permanent Residency in Australia!!! Hehehehe! Wooohhooo! I still can’t believe it could be this soon, not that I’m complaining. It’s just another heavy issue taken off from my shoulder. Mind you, its Residency and not Citizenship. I’m still very much a proud Malaysian and my passport is still dark red colour. Anyhow, having this extra visa in my passport would open more doors for me and hopefully, *fingers and toes crossed* I would get an amazing job in my preferred field soon. Like.. real soon! Coz if truth be told, patience is not one of my many virtues.

On top of that, Terence and I miraculously found $90 cash under our table the other night! It was funny cause we were looking forward to check out this rooftop bar and decide to do so last Sunday.  And when we saw the cash, we merely left it under the table for five minutes and pretended we didn’t saw them. It was the most awkward five minutes between us as we kept quiet the entire time while looking around suspiciously. Personally, I thought we were in a reality show where the camera crew will jump out from the nearest bush as soon as we pick up the cash. Fortunately, there were none of those. We did picked the cash up eventually and left it untouched on our table. Then we made a pledge to wait for a good one hour for the owner to return. As much as we would like to be a good Samaritan, that didn’t happen. So we ended up with extra $90 in our purse. Hehehehe! Lucky eh?  What did we do with the money? Well, we donate it of course. To the Red Cross International Fund. For those who refuse to believe me, you may pop me an email and I’ll forward the receipt to you. Hmph! But yeah, although some would call us fool but considering the money doesn’t belong to us in the first place, it is only right to donate to those who need them even if it might not meant much. Correct? =)

G.R.A.D~

Wooooohoooo! I’m done! Finish. GRADUATED!!

And may I just add that it is simply unforgettable. Dad, mom and Jie came over to Melbourne to support me. Alas, my house is a little too tiny to accommodate all of us but Tika was so considerate to excuse herself for a whole of two weeks! So we get to go CUCKOO!! And weather was very very co-operative too, which added to our cuckoo-ness.

Before my big day, we were actually travelling every single day. Let me just list out the itinerary: Phillip Island, Yarra Valley, Dandenong Ranges, Great Ocean Road, Geelong and most importantly, shopping. So many things to do, so little time! We had such a great time exploring and doing crazy poses albeit a little tiring.
Graduation was good too. We rented a small house at Geelong and it turned out to be the best decision ever! On graduation, we were all dressed up smartly. Mom and Jie imported a whole lot of dresses for my graduation so my garments department was no way short of choices. Not to forget my lovely Terence too. He had been such an amazing host to my family and was indeed very patient. Really supportive! Best BF ever! Hehhe. Anyway, although the amount of time I actually got on stage is approximately 5 precious mins but it’s worth it!

Now that my dearest family has gone home to Malaysia, life resumes to its usual self. Filming, editing and job searching. Sigh… so quiet… But honestly, I think my family had brought along a lot of luck to me. So hopefully, a job offer is not too far away! =)

Life is as sweet as Macarons! =)

Creativity vs accounting

“Have been doing”…”Have done”..  Yeap. I had been studying IELTS voraciously, something I’ve never thought I would need to do. I don’t know if I would even get Band 8 for all components but there’s no point ponder on things that had not happened eh?

Apart from that, my career is also taking some joyrides down the path of video development. Also something that I NEVER thought to do.. In fact, it is something which I am totally unfamiliar with. It started with Tika showing me some of her videos, a year ago, which I find really exciting. So, as the team leader at that time, I requested a video to be made of my team. I was turned down by the mere fact that it is too costly and time consuming. They told me it would take months!! Determined to have a video before I leave the team, I made one myself. Just for fun. I was so wrong… What I thought to be for my own personal eyes soon became the official promotional video for my team. Funnily, people seem to be interested in the video I made. Perhaps I’m their cheap and faster way to get a video done. I was then asked to do another video for the undergraduates which turned out alright… I think. And now?? I’ve three projects at hand and been pouring in hours to ensure they are as nice as they can be. Also, I’m crash and self- learning on video equipment and editing softwares. Honestly, I’m not really a creative person myself. So I had to spend some hours here and there doing research on how things should be done... Oh blimey!

Our new home..

So here’s the post which everyone is waiting for. You know, the one in regards to my house..  Not really? Sigh… Anyway, I will be making this more of a pictorial post since a ‘picture says a thousand words’ and perhaps more efficiently than I do.
Let’s start at the time when I found this unit in the real estate website. It wasn’t exactly one that we were looking forward to. What’s more, the price is $345 per week as compared to the market’s $380 per week. Over here, the price of the property pretty much determines what you would be getting. And its not like the pictures are good anyway.

Surprisingly, it turned up way better than what we expected! There were lots of sunshine coming into the house and its much warmer that way. Also means, that our electricity bill will hopefully reduce since we won’t be needing to turn on the lights during the day. In general, the whole block of apartment looks like this from the outside. There is a tree right in the middle of the block and I suspect that it would start bloom come spring. Surrounding it are bushes of what I called ‘Winter Roses’ because they only bloom during the winter.

Below are pictures of how it looked like when we stuffed all our belongings in the house rather than packing them. There were lots to clean up for this unit. We re-painted the cupboards, fix the knobs, lubricate the windows, clean the cupboards and even bleach the carpets. In fact, considering that we had been cleaning our previous apartment, it was our fourth day of hard labour.

The entrance to my unit is as below. On the left, is my bedroom and on the right is the Tika’s bedroom, toilet and bathroom. Straight in front is our living room. The good thing about this apartment is; there’s a separate door between the living room and our bedrooms. In essence, we can keep the living room warm and the cooking smell wouldn’t invade our rooms. The bathroom is a little bigger than my previous one AND their light is heated!! That means no more shivers when I come out from the bath cubicle. =)

And here would be my bedroom.  Yeap, its bigger than my previous bedroom. And yes, I have a bedframe now. And those polaroids in black & white are my pride and joy, together with the cards I received from home and a special photo frame. If you squeeze your eyes really well, you’ll see whose faces are there. Hehehe.

Next is the living room. We tried to keep the layout similar to our previous one so that we’ll know where things are. The only difference is the bar right next to the entrance. WE HAVE A BAR!! Our crown jewels have their rightful place now. Where they actually belong! =) The weird thing is the fact that I've placed so many cat figures around the house. Cats are not the species that I particularly fond of AND Tika hates cats. Weird... but they ARE cute though.

The kitchen, at the moment, is still in good condition. Lots of sun coming into it but the ventilation fan is a total wreck. We are hoping to get the landlord to fix them up rather than ourselves.

And here’s the view from the balcony. Its great, compared to staring at the road but the downside is, we’ll have to look at our neighbours who is unfortunately located right opposite us. Its not even a good sight to start with.

So here it is, the floor plan of our apartment. Cheers!! =)

List of bad news in July 2011

As promised, I'll list down all the bad news I had in this past weeks. Honest to god, these few weeks has been the most farcical and turbulent weeks I had in years!

It started on the day when I got my final MBA results.. It ain't pleasant. I do not care what others say but I do set a high standard for myself. To get two Credits is just plain disappointment. It brought my WAM all the way down to another grade! That's how devastating it is. Then my dearest homie's result came out similar to mine too and SHE got disappointed as well. Blah!! To make matters worse, on that bloody same day, we found out that we are required to vacate our lovely homey apartment, the one we are thankful for each single day, within two months time coz the landlord decides to sell his house. Otherwise, we'll get served. Geez... This is my third house already and it obviously does not contribute to my homesickness at all if I keep hopping from one to another like a bunny!

Then I received a letter from Auz Fed Police that states that my application for a police check is unsuccessful coz I paid the wrong amount! Silly me... Idiot really. That's $34 vanishing into thin air (or at least I thought so at the time) and another two weeks of waiting time.

As we begin to search for a new apartment, we realises that the market rent had increased! From $350 per week to $380! And you even get a smaller unit... That's a whole lot of difference dude! Its $1,560 extra a year! For an unemployed graduate like myself, its like holding hell in a hand-basket.

On top of that, I've been hit with the reality that my Uni's completion letter & transcript would take at least a month to be finalised. Now.. the problem is, I can't even begin to apply for a residency without those documents. Plus, I can't apply for jobs without proof that I'm applying for residency. Its a causal effect, yes.

Other negative news were like.. my cousin have bad news that she yet to share with me, my previous office is in a hiccup and I've to attend an IELTS course to improve my writing (more expenses!!). Yeap. It's been a roller coaster ride. I suppose I'll just keep hogging my blog to improve myself and hopefully reflect those little advancements in the next IELTS test.

Oh, but it wasn't ALL bad news. This week we had a bucket of sunshine thrown to us. And I'll simply need to address that in the next post to create more suspense. Hehhe!! Ciaoz~

Final trimester holiday!

So my mom went back a couple of weeks ago. I admit, I did had teary eyes.. after four weeks with her that turned out to be miraculously amazing, I was reluctant to let her go. My dad would obviously think otherwise. I did write her this sweet letter on the day she left and hope it would be able to convey what I felt inside. I love my mom. Having her here made this place bearable and made me believe that everything will be fine. Don’t wanna be melodramatic and all but yes, I do have occasional home sickness.

Anyway, soon after Mom left for home, my dearest cousin Su Wei came to visit. Although I did not have a good quiet time with her to pour our heart to each other but overall, it is rather pleasant. We had lots to eat and I even brought her shopping, an act I rarely practice myself. I always wished she would stay in Melbourne. How nice would that be! We can have weekend dinner together and I can only imagine all those fun we could have! Sigh.. In fact, I had a confession to make… I actually discreetly wished she would not do well in her exams only so that she would stay longer in Auz. I know… shame on me. I am being such a selfish biatch.

Life after Su Wei left me for Adelaide was quite volatile actually.. everything seems to tumble down in New York minutes although there were glimpses of light somewhere in the middle. Zooming past those negative stuff (I promise to spill the nitty gritty once I get it all sorted) I’ll share my good, positive news. First of all, we got an all free tour to Yarra Valley from dear Billy. Hehee.. It was amazing. I personally bought a bottle of Moscato and Cabernet. I honestly wish to keep the Moscato till Mom’s visit in October. She loves that dessert wine as I do. Then, I manage to pass all my papers.. PASS.. not excel. And lastly, I got news that one of my paper will be publish!! Oh yeah!!! Really unexpected and I have all my assignment members to thank for. Though my lecturer might argues that we still need a lot of improvements but nevertheless, we got publish!! Muahahhaha! A good ending to this blog post. =)

Salute!

Today was a beautiful day; with the sun up high on full blast, clear blue sky and the reduced level of turbine power. So I decided to grab my notes and Mom out for a nice walk at the park and naively thought of doing some readings. Even had Mom brought her story book along. The plan was to visit the Shrine of Remembrance and followed by a tour of the Royal Melbourne Botanical Garden. The Garden part did not work out in the end, and so was my reading. Anyhow there was a ceremony at the Shrine today and while we were sniffing around, we heard some gun shots. Here’s the funny part:

(After three gun shots.. BANG, BANG, BANG)

Mom: Hmm.. there must be sending someone off today. Three gun salute.
Ean: Yeah? Wow.. We are attending some soldier’s funeral! Cool! (thinking mom should know all these military stuff since Dad was in the Air Force last time)

(another gun shot)

Ean: eh.. Four? I thought you said three? Auz must be doing it different.

(still followed by subsequent gun shots.. By the time it reaches the seventh/eighth ones..)

Mom: Wah!! This fella must be some ‘big potato’ ya! So many gun shots for him. Usually Three only!
Ean: Wah!! So happy that we can attend big shot’s funeral.. =) May he rest in peace.

Later that evening, as we were skyping with Dad, we told him of the privilege of attending a ‘big shot’ funeral that had Twelve gun shots. He must be pretty high ranking since he has four times the usual Salute! Then dad said this:

Dad: Funeral usually only got 12 or 24 Salute la…. Don’t have three one.

………….. The end ……………

( If you squeeze your eye really small, you should be able to see Mom and I. )

Visitor from home.

Did I mention that my mom’s here for the month in conjunction to my exams which start in 4 days times? No? Well, now I have.

My dearest mommy had been here for 2 weeks now and she had done a fabulous job in fattening me up. After all, that IS her primary objective. Secondary objective, improve her beloved daughter’s health. In which, she is going on a highway speed with that. Mind you, Auz highway not Msian highway. Msian highway allows you to go as fast as 200 km/h without getting caught, Auz highway; the minute you exceeded 112 km/h you will get a bill in your post box the next week. But I do see signs of me getting healthier or rather so fat that my dark circles are covered by my cheek fats!! LOL! Mom’s tertiary objective is probably losing some weight herself. She had been walking a LOT and refuse to take the trams giving excuses that (i) the weather make it nice to walk even though its raining and would probably hail, (ii) its not worth to pay the $3 and (iii) I need to exercise! (yeap, she drag me along for afternoon walks).

But having her make this place felt so much more like home. Every time I come home from work/uni, I can smell that dinner is ready (complete with home cooked soup!). If I’m cold, I can always snuggle over. When I’ve headache or rather fake headaches, I can bermanja-manja and she would massage my head. I’m so blessed. =)

My Bday celebration!!

Best Birthday EVER! Started off on 30th March, 11 pm when my homies and I were supposedly have a couple of shots to celebrate the coming of my 23rd Birthday. Then suddenly the door bell buzzes… BUZZZ!! Terence went to have a look and told us that it was our irritating neighbours again. But then he walked over to the door and in comes two familiar faces; Tash and David! Yeap, I shrieked. How sweet of them to come over (with six of bottles of beer). No wonder Tika was busy cleaning the house in the evening. She’s just too adorable. *ku chi ku chi*

Near to 12 am, I decided to prepare a shot of tequila for everyone. But Terence kicked me out and asked me to stay in the living room instead. Innocently, I thought it was because of my birthday and he didn’t want me to do things myself. So I was chatting with David in the living room (should have notice that Tika and Tash was missing) when suddenly the birthday song started playing in Tika’s lappy. Then out of nowhere, my friends from DIS popped up from the front door singing the Birthday song for me!! There was a cake even! Owwwhhh~~~ Yeap, I shrieked again. It was so touching that I nearly cried. There were Shelley, Molly, Louise, Avnit, Siddharth, Rock and Jeremy. Love u guys!!

My Birth-Day was amazing as well. Met Jill Jill for lunch at this fancy pastry cafĂ© nearby Mont Albert, accompanied by her mom and brother. It has been ages since I’ve catch up with her so meeting during this auspicious day was just perfect. Thanks for the treat! After lunch, went over to the Drop In Station for another surprise. I got a $100 MAC (the cosmetic) voucher from the team!! Muahahhahaha!!!!  How I love my colleague. Muackz! Oh yeah, Tika gave me pressie as well. A yacht trip for two down at Mornington Peninsular to see dolphins!!!!! Hohohohoohoho!!

Dinner was planned by Terence. Went to a Chinese restaurant on Smith St and I’m telling you, they serve the best Peking Duck in Victoria! The skin was crispy and tasteful. The meat was stir fry to perfection with the bean curds. YUMMY! After dinner, we head to Crown for a session in the arcade. Hehe. I’m still a kid.. but we also stopped by at the casino for 1 round of Roulette in which we lost $6 and got a $1 chip for a souvenir or rather a Birthday gift? Hehhehe.

I’ve no idea why Terence is not in this picture

Under the stars

As we reach the roof top, there are already rows of beach seats nicely arranged facing the stage while the sounds of waves crushing the beach and the heated game of volleyball is still audible. As the ‘egg yolk’ slowly sinks into the horizon, the band starts to play some of their signature songs. Eventually, the sounds from the beach fade away and replaced by the intriguing beats that moves our body.

Right in front of us is this huge white screen that shaped like a TV and far back is a stall selling nothing but the usual alcoholic drinks.

By 9 pm onwards, the seats are all filled up and the host went on stage to brief us on emergency exits, toilets and switching off the cellphone. As soon as that is over, the movie finally started. With the tiny stars shining above and sea gulls flying around causing a ‘shooting star’ effect, it was indeed a nice romantic evening to spent with my Honey. Though the temperature was a ridiculous 10C for summer and the seats are so far apart that snuggling was impossible, it was still absolutely sweet.

And yeap, I’m talking about the Open Air Cinema in St.Kilda. Definitely one of the attractions to try when you are in Melbourne.

Last week of 2010 (^^)

Before this beautiful 2011 goes any further, I just wanna wrap up bout the last week of 2010.

IT WAS AWESOOME !!!

omg... feel so American-o bimbo now.

But anyhow, it is good. The Christmas eve party at Tingting’s place had been accommodative. There were many more people than I expected and gosh... the presents.. are simply to fall for. I’ve never received sooo many presents before!! I just declared 2010 Xmas as the best I ever went through. I know I’m pretty much acting like a kid now.. yet since I’ve been deprived of Xmas celebration for 20 years of my life, acting like a kid is totally cool. And what is better than spending Christmas with company of close friends?

Christmas day was nothing less. Went out with Tika’s colleague for a family-work luncheon. Felt so homey being with them. Almost felt like I belong there although ironically I only got acquainted with them on that day itself. LOL! There were unlimited supply of food and lunch eventually dragged on to supper at midnight. Lots of cheery conversation and nothing emotional. I just love their style!! We were also crazy enough to join the last minute planned trip to Marysfield which had been the cherry on the icing. The sunset view had been absolutely heavenly. In fact, there was a point where I thought the heaven door did open for us! Halleluya~~

Few days before New Years were spent in Phillip Island with Tash, Samora, Lachy, David & Tash’s family. Lots of sun, tanning, freezing sea water and of course, drinks. It is the beach after all. Though there were some issues on those boys, I can’t say the same with the house. It is such a great place to have a group of crazy friends over to crash it. But the cleaning up next day would be a pain. Hehehe. But yeah, spent enough time with those fellas to ensure they wouldn’t complain again if I ever stood them up on the weekly drinks. =)

New Year Eve... Tika, Linda & I went down to Docklands Pier to enjoy the marvellous fireworks. I had to admit.. it is the best show so far! We were neither too near nor too close so we don’t have to tilt over head till it hurts. It was the right place to be for that 10 minutes show. (and its free too.. hohoho!)

New Year is not so good though. Just realised a cruel fact and beat myself up for being such a desperado bitch. I didn’t realise it had been so long and am making a fool of myself. But ain’t gonnna elaborate and ruin my whole year. We need to start a year with positive vibe to make sure it last the entire year!! Its like starting a day with a good breakfast and a hearty laugh. Yeap. That breakfast & laugh thing is what I will do for the rest of the 363 days.

Cheers!!
