Last weekend of May '09

I had a great weekend.

It started with one of my dearest old friend (you know who you are) asking me out for a movie on a Friday morning. I was thrilled initially, but as time passed by and he had yet to call, I got a little bit frustrated. To tell the truth, he was late for 2 HOURS! How gentleman right? Anyway, he manage to repent by bringing me some delicious banana cakes, while I drive us to fill up my so-called ‘huge tummy’, which was pretty much grumbling at that moment. After my late lunch, we proceed to the cinema for Terminator 4. But dear Yong Xin, caught me by surprise and presented me with my belated birthday gift! (in the car-park... =.=”) It was wrapped extravagantly with newspapers! The gift was at first as big as a mini laptop but it eventually shrink to a tiny 5x10 cm mp3! It took me almost 20 minutes to unwrap them all and by the time I’m done, my fingers are all tainted. I think there is like 40 layers of newspapers wrapped after one another and each one was sign off with (bloody irritating & egoistic) sweet messages from him. Owh....Thanks for everything dear! I’ll definitely think of you when I listen to the mp3, hence you can rest assured that you shall not be forgotten!! ......* unless the mp3 rosak.. Hehe*

You can see the amount of newspapers as compared to the mp3..

After the movie, we bumped into a whole lot of friends (and 1 cousin – Baby Su Wei)! It’s like an official and totally unexpected gathering on a Friday night in Sunway Pyramid. Friends that I have not met for ages and it is only natural that we bring our accident collide to dinner at Kim Gary. The dinner lasted for 2 hours and was later pro-longed in Station 1, Puchong. All of us was practically speaking on top of our lungs (right left front; all in diff directions), laughing our hearts out and not to forget, cam-whoring. It was like a time bug zapping us back to the past I guess.

From left: Elaine, Hoe Kin, Wai Bing, Yee Seng, Yi Ling, May, Yong Xin and Kayson

Yup, we can be pretty kiddo sometimes

Oh! Also, the very next day I went out with my darling Ivy and Shan Shan for a little shopping in Sunway (couldn’t shop with YX with his lousy sense). Both of them bought me a cardigan from Forever 21 and a keyboard+mike, respectively!! Muackz! I love you, darlings!

PS: Darling Jean has not bought me my belated Birthday present. Will chase from her ASAP.

I don’t wanna be addicted to hearing your voice before I can go to bed..

But it’s too late

Out of the blue..

I suddenly feel very restless. Perhaps it is due to the upcoming day when I will fly off to Melbourne. It makes me wonder how I will adapt myself there. *Background song: I’m Leaving.. on a jet plane.. La La la~~*

Up to date, I have yet to finalise my accommodation and prepare a list of ‘Things to Bring to Auz’ to be submitted to my dearest Mom. She seems to be more edgy than me on these matters. Apart from that, I still have to chase my ex-firm on my last payment, collect Mom’s cheque book, get the Jusco gift voucher, finish up compiling some albums, pack my room, book the Bali hotel and send my lovely Granny (Po Po) to her friend’s house.

Talking bout Po Po, just minutes ago she and I had a debate. I won with hands down but yet.. Sigh..

Anyway, the conversation was like this:

- Conversation took place in the car –

Ivise: Po, I’ll bring you to the doctor tomorrow k? You have been coughing for a month already.

Po Po: Yeah sure. Bring me to Dr.Chong.

Ivise: But Dr.Chong’s medicine is not that effective. Why don’t I bring you to the clinic beside it. The one with the Indian doctor. (Said in a very nice and casual tone)

Po Po: What do you mean Dr.Chong is not good?! I have taken his medicine for a week and he’s such a sweet doctor. We chat very well. (Feeling agitated for no reason)

Ivise: You have taken his medicine for a week and yet you are still coughing. This shows that the medicine is terrible. And besides, you are paying him for the medicine not for chat.

Po Po: I don’t like the Indian doctor. I can’t communicate with her! (Still very stubborn and give me that I-am-right look)

Ivise: Again, you are not going to the clinic to chitty-chatty! Why on earth do you want to go see a doctor who’s not good enough to give you the right medicine? You print money from the house is it? (Losing her patience and starts to raise her voice. It is a common thing when I need to highlight an issue to my Po Po)

Po Po: It is not the medicine’s fault. It is mainly because I still eat all those oily food and didn’t drink enough water.

Ivise: (Feeling bravado and still raising her voice..) There you go! You know you are already coughing, yet you are still so stubborn to eat everything. You want the whole house to worry about you is it? Ask you to go see doctor is like asking you to go pull a tooth out! * My kakak decided to support me on this by adding some words of encouragement*

...... Silence for 5 seconds...

Po Po: ITS MY LIFE LA! ( expressed with full blast and a very pitchy voice) Don’t let me caught you getting sick and refuse to see the doctor. I’ll insult you to the maximum then.

-End of conversation =.="-

So you see, although I win the debate, my Po Po still wants to have the last word. Worse still, she ended it by threatening me! All because I want to bring her to a better Doctor. Sigh.. My life is indeed a challenging one.

Stop being so sweet honey, I’m afraid I’ll start stepping over the border
