Patriotic

=)

PS: completed with the help from Haniza Dahari (dearest hommie).

Rainy day..

On a cold and rainy day like this, I ought to be staying at home, cuddling under my warm and soft comforter with the music on. I am at home for the time being but in another hour time, I shall be out there like those pitiful passer-bys, getting wet in this day-long rain. I could bring an umbrella but the strong wind makes it utterly impossible to stay dry.

Back home in Malaysia, I love playing under the rain especially if it is raining cats and dogs. Unfortunately, things weren’t the same over here cause if you play under the rain, you will most likely get pneumonia due to the bone-chilling temperature or get a severe headache considering the amount of pollution they have. Then again, it rarely rains this heavy. Perhaps because spring is near. =)

I really have no reason to post this blog. Frankly, I just feel like writing something. Somehow, there is this conscious of mine feeling guilty for not posting a new blog. Felt like I have failed my readers in some ways *if there is even a single poor soul that is following my blog considering my horrible essay writing.. sob... * Anyway, the sudden bash of free time I have now is because my assignments are all over and hence I can afford a few days of idle before starting with my subjects again. Hehhee. That means I can finally go out to the Sunday market this weekend. Wheee~~

Due to this sudden freedom, I have also start to have home sickness. Sigh.. But my home sickness is not towards my parents, sweet honey, dearest cousins, psycho darlings or friends (sorry guys, just that I can contact you guys like...everyday? LOL!). Instead it is towards the three little cousins who became the devils of my house during my absence and my absolutely lovable granny. Because my sister, Ms. Ivy Gan, was most of the time busy with her overloading assignment, she didn’t get to Skype with me leading to my loss of opportunity to see those Devils and Po Po. I particularly miss the youngest and worse Devil named Yan Yan. Her cute adorable fake smile and her chubby little body running towards me kept on playing in my mind like a video set on a repeat mode for the past few days already. Sigh.. Let’s hope I don’t go crazy anytime soon.

Ps: glad am going back home soon.. hope nothing much changes.

Saturday Night

Despite the thousands of words that I NEED to write and despite how bloody tired my eyes are staring at my tiny laptop’s screen, I find it amusing that I am still eager to blog a little here.

Assignments aside, I had a pretty fun week. Let me try and recall something ya....

.....

..........

Okay. Maybe not so much fun. Cause the only ‘fun’ thing that is flicking through my mind was my hommies and I running around in Burwood, chasing a stationary tram.

That happened last night when Hani and I decided to eat out and meet up with Tika to accompany her home. Tika works in Nandos, nearby K-mart and finish works at 10pm. Being the sweet hommies that we are, we thought it might be nice to accompany her in the lonely tram ride, only occasionally. =) I think it had been weeks since we stepped out of our cosy home by the way. Somehow, I had been really busy with the big ‘A’. *as always*

So we took the tram to K-mart and head straight to Nandos to have our purportedly dinner while making fun of Tika. We have the entire mischievous plan running wild in our head such as asking her to serve us this, clean that, etc. *evil grin*

Unfortunately, as we reached Nandos, Tika told us that her shift is finishing at that instant due to lack of customers! WTH!! Then she suggested we go elsewhere to eat... Sigh.. Oh alright. =(

After which, we took the tram again to Vermont South, hoping to catch some decent restaurant. As we walked by the almost empty and dimmed street, we found this delicious-smelling Chinese restaurant. Considering it was pretty chilly out there, we walked in to have a look at the menu only greeted by a waitress who saw us, gave us a head-to-toe glance and walked away. What is that suppose to mean?! Add to that insult, we even stood there for 5 minutes, looking blank and lost!! But in the end, we regained our dignity with walking out of the restaurant, heads held high. *Literally*

Then, we ran all the way back to the station cause we saw a tram over there and assumed that it’s leaving. Pretty absurd actually cause we were all laughing, screaming and running simultaneously. It was even funnier that when we reached into the tram and it maintain motionless for 10 minutes! And to think we actually ‘chase’ it... LOL!

Eventually we had our dinner in Sophia, ordering a risotto, Mexican pizza and Gelati.

The food was good and the portion huge as well.

Well, that’s about the most happening Saturday night I had over here. It would be nicer if we stopped by at the 24/7 Coles supermarket but the sudden drop in the temperature was kinda hard to bear.

Making love

You know, I realised that the newspaper in Australia is really getting to be more and more interesting. On this lovely day, I came across to this article that instantly caught my eyes. Before I proceed, let me just point out that those that are religiously strong person, you might wanna stop reading.

.......

Alright, here goes.

The article’s title was something like this, ‘Church asking couple to pray before sex’.

Subsequent parts of the article made my friend and I laugh hysterically in class. It mentioned that the Catholic Church here had recently passed a book that lists the types of prayers required to be chanted before making love. And obviously, these are for MARRIED couples only, as like all churches it presumes that couples only had sex after marriage.

The point is, who would want to do that? I mean, you are kissing and touching and all, getting in the mood, then suddenly before the sexual intercourse begin, you put a halt on things and tell your partner that you need to pray before proceeding to the fun part!! What a turn off! Or perhaps, before a couple decide to make love, they would pray first. But that means, the couple will have to DECIDE to make love. And I thought making love is supposed to be spontaneous and spur of the moment thing.

Also, the articles quoted that the church says that making love should be for the purpose of higher godly values rather than for personal satisfaction. Being a little versed on this issue, I understand that Christianity is against homosexuality and urge love between different sexes. This is really fine for me, as it ensure a continuity of the human population. But, does it mean that when couples make love it is purely for the purpose of reproduction? So no foreplay, no kissing, no bla bla??? Just plainly penetrate and shoot. No offend dears, but it sound a little ironic to me. Then again, I'm sure this are extremist speaking coz my Christian friends are all undeniably cool.

PS: you know I miss you.
