I know it is far over the time that I should blog about my recent escapade to Malacca with my sister and future bro-in-law (Ashton Tan). But then again, who cares? (^_^)
Anyway, the trip to Malacca was actually an interesting one. None of us are familiar with the place and I have only been there for 2 times. Hence, equipped with only a GPRS and my memories we decided to brave ourselves to the unknown! After a two hours drive, we manage to reach Jonker Street in one piece.*Thank God* Firstly, we attacked the chicken rice balls. Subsequently, we dined in the authentic Chendol Stall! This is actually my favourite although my sis + Ashton said the Chendol is so-so only. Chis, tak guna! They don’t know what good food is! Moving on, after the desserts, we figure walking along the Jonker Street was a good way to burn all the calories. (not to mention our purses as well) We shopped till around 6, before heading to the Eyes on Malaysia, only to be told that the night view will be much better. Feeling a little bit ‘hau han’ (in Chinese, meant: have to nibble something), Ashton immediately looked up for local delicacies nearby through his GPRS. Eventually, he found a Popiah stall in Jalan Bunga Raya. And then clicked! I recall that Jeffrey (an old college mate) once bought me to this super-delicious Popiah. So there we go, and I would like to proudly announce that we actually made it to the stall. Smart eh? Thankfully, the Popiah was NOT a disappointment. My sis and Ashton even said that it is ‘orgasmic’! Hehe... After the Popiah, we went for a little joy-ride and then head back to the Eyes on Malaysia for a couple of rounds in the ferry wheel. Once done, we scoot over to a Wan Tan mee stall for dinner before driving back home. It was a very tiring day indeed but nevertheless, fun as well.
The sinfully delicious Chendol
PS: Ashton told me I was only invited because they need a photographer.. (T.T)
Oh yeah, not to forget, my family recent Karaoke session in Neway, Puchong. We sang from 7 pm till 1 am and it costs us RM 200 in total! Thanks to Sheryl Ng (my cousin/aunt) for treating us. Muackz Senorita!! Although the buffet dinner was not up to standard, we still manage to sing like mad-cow! LLALALALA~~~
