It has been the first week of class. YEAH!! I’m so glad it went through without much tragedies eg: got lost, went into wrong class, wrong enrolment etc. = )
Anyway, my subjects this semester are pretty much the basics and I’m alright with everything EXCEPT the Marketing Management! Seriously, I am pretty much clueless in class. Sob.. Of course, I had taken a basic Marketing in my undergrad. Duh~ But the lecturer teaches in a whole new way! Firstly, he does not follow the slides. Secondly, he makes us thinks in the most critical way possible. Thirdly, I am not sure the things he said is actually even in the book!! To sum it up, I had a culture shock. (0_0) Cause back home, teaching is rather (said in a harsh way) spoon-feeding. Guess I’ve been spoilt rotten. But then, being in my first sem I had been very hardworking. Wanna know why? (^-^)
Oh God, I’m so proud of myself.. Hehe.. Ahem *clearing throat*..
Coz for each lecture, I would print my notes beforehand, read it through (including the awfully thick Unit Guide) before going to class. Then during class, I would scribble notes that I might think useful and after class, I would spend another hour or so in the library for revisions like doing the review questions in the 4cm thick textbook!
Ain’t I’m just so wonderful~
Hope it last for the next 3 sems..
Other than classes I have also ‘expanded my network circle’.. (most preferred word used in Uni. =.=”) Naturally, my friends would ask whether I had make any new Australian friends considering the fact that I am here.. in Australia.. Burwood to be exact. Well, my answer would be, NO!
In fact, my ONLY Australian acquaintance was my neighbour, Sarah, a nice-sweet-emo girl who occasionally bakes us devilish-delicious muffins/cakes. Let me clarify that this is totally not my fault ok! My uni is dominated by Chinese and Indians (pretty much like Msia) and there is only 0.5% of my classmates which are Australian, including the lecturer. That would be like 2 people? And the club and societies is the same as well. How on Earth then will I get to know Australians if there is so little of them? Sigh.. But I did made friends from China, India, MALAYSIA, Vietnam, Germany, Denmark etc. who are great, nice and expressive people. Somehow, people here tend to be rather open about their feelings like they would say out whatever they feel.
Culture shock again. (0_0)
Pic is without my face coz I think I’ve uploaded way too much of my face these days. Even I get bored of looking. Hahaa!
