First week in Mel

Finally I have time to update my blog. Well, I know it had been a while but let me just briefly sumarise things that happened in the past weeks.

To date,

  • I had enrolled myself and orientate myself to the blocks in the Uni. Compared to my previous college, this Uni is huge. But, let me just highlight that my class is 20 minutes walk away from my house. To be exact, it is 1.3 km away. Just try and imagine.... I need to walk 4 days a week.. (T_T)
  • went to orientation talks (eg: Successful Life in Deakin.. =.=”). I prefer the orientation in Nilai
  • joined the Mentor Programme but yet to know who my mentor is. The truth, I have no idea why I joined it. Just for fun, I guess. To keep myself busy before I start my home sickness. Sob sob.
  • registered a phone number. The most important point actually.. But its a bloody Samsung touch screen and it is really hard to even function! Btw, my no. : +61430767990
  • met a few course mates and new friends which I did not exchange contact. Hehe. Why? Coz I bet we won’t text each other after the orientation. = ) And no.. I did not met any cute hunks...yet I hope.
  • bought groceries. To be more accurate, LEARN to buy groceries. Hehehe. With the help of my mom.. duh.
  • packed my room and do minimum decoration (which is near to nil)
  • went to City and visited the tourist spots, went to the nearest supermarket (I have a 24 hours one near my house..yeah!), learnt the public transport and have NOT got lost (smart eh?)
  • met with old friend and be a substitute model for him, on a supremely cold & windy day and YET he still asked me to take off my jacket for 20 minutes! I have no idea how the picture will turn out but damn sure he will need to do a lot of editing. I was pretty much shivering. Brrr....
  • shopped for quite some things.. hehe. Let’s just say they are not entirely necessary but still important. (^.^)

Well, that’s about it I guess. Gotta crash early today since I had not been sleeping much for the past few days! Waking up at 8.30 has most certainly been a norm here. Sigh..
